Please join us at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, for the second lecture in The Bryan Museum's Fall 2017 Speaker Series!

Carolyn Boyd, PhD

Our guest speaker will be Carolyn Boyd, PhD, Research Director of the Shumla Archaeological Research & Education Center.

The topic of Dr. Boyd's talk will be Pecos River-style rock art, the earliest dated art in North America.

Following the lecture, Dr. Boyd will be available to sign her books:

  • Rock Art of the Lower Pecos
  • The White Shaman Mural: An Enduring Creation Narrative

The lecture and book-signing will be held in the Conservatory behind the main Museum building. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshment will be served.
