Please join us at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, for the first lecture in The Bryan Museum's Fall 2017 Speaker Series!

Kenneth Hafertepe, PhD

Our guest speaker will be Kenneth Hafertepe, PhD, Chair of the Department of Museum Studies at Baylor University.

The title of Dr. Hafertepe's talk will be "A New Look at 19th Century Texas Art."

Following the lecture, Dr. Hafertepe will be available to sign his books:

  • The Material Culture of German Texans
  • A Guide to the Historic Buildings of Fredericksburg and Gillespie County
  • Abner Cook: Master Builder on the Texas Frontier
  • A History of Ashton Villa: A Family and Its House in Victorian Galveston, Texas

The lecture and book-signing will be held in the Conservatory behind the main Museum building. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshment will be served.
