Lydia Blackmore, Decorative Arts Curator at The Historic New Orleans Collection, holds degrees from the College of William and Mary and the Winterthur Program. Her talk, Goods of Every Description: Shopping for the 19th Century Home, will reveal how 19th century homes were furnished and will draw connections between Galveston and other Gulf Coast cities.

Bradley Brooks, Curator of the Bayou Bend Collections at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, will explore the histories and stewardship experience with a range of homes he has cared for over his career. His talk, 100 Years in Five Homes: Behind the Curtains of 20th Century Historic House Museums cover homes ranging from Galveston’s own 1895 Moody Mansion to Eero Saarinen’s 1953 Miller House in Columbus, Indiana.
