Second Floor Landing or Library

  • Use of Second Floor Landing or Library for three hours
  • Five 60-inch round tables
  • Fifty walnut chiavari chairs
  • Two 6-foot rectangular tables

Cocktail Hour/Museum Access
Lobby, La Sirena, First Floor Galleries
(Up to 75 Guests)


Venue Price Includes:
  • Use of Lobby, La Sirena, and First Floor Galleries for two hours
  • Four cocktail tables
  • Two 6-foot rectangular tables

Beverage & Bar Packages

There is a bartender fee of $175; one bartender per fifty guests.
For each additional bar, there is a set-up fee of $125.

- We do not customize our bar packages.
- We do not serve tequila, “doubles” or “shots” of any kind.
We reserve the right to discontinue bar service to anyone we choose.
- “Cocktail hour” cannot exceed one hour.
- Alcohol of any kind cannot be brought onto or taken off the property.

Taxes & Gratuity

An 8.25% city tax will be applied to the venue fee, a 6.27% state tax will be applied to alcoholic bar packages, and a 29% gratuity will be included on the final bill.

Booking & Deposits

  • The Bryan Museum provides an on-site event coordinator to help facilitate the execution of your event.
  • In order to secure your special date, we require a deposit of 50% of the venue fee. Dates are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. This deposit is nonrefundable and must be paid with a valid credit card. The remaining balance must be paid in full thirty days prior to the event date.
  • We also require a damage deposit of $500, which is due thirty days prior to the event date. Museum staff will inspect the property the day following the event. The cost to repair any damage to the property will be deducted from the damage deposit.
  • The Bryan Museum provides our private security for all events. The charge is $30 per hour for every one hundred guests.
  • The Galveston Police Department requires that an officer be present for every event. The Bryan Museum is in charge of making these arrangements. This officer will be paid $35 per hour in cash by the person responsible for payment for the event.

Yes. Our Events staff is available to assist with planning and make sure all the details fall into place.

We have a Preferred Vendors list to help you get started with the planning process. We strongly recommend using the vendors listed due to their familiarity with and experience on the property. Particularly important is the selection of a full-service caterer. We reserve the right to approve or deny the use of other vendors.

Yes. However, we understand that each event is unique, and we would be happy to tailor your event to suit your needs.

No. All bar services must be contracted through The Bryan Museum. The Bryan Museum is licensed by the State of Texas (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) and follows the laws set forth by the State of Texas. Absolutely no outside alcohol may be brought in, and no alcohol may leave the premises.

Definitely! Our Events staff will work with you to ensure that your bar set-up is exactly suited to your budget and event.

Yes. Parking is available in our Guest Parking lot located behind the Museum, and there is street parking around the entire property. With advance notice, parking is also available on the property immediately to the west of the Museum. All parking is free of charge.

The City of Galveston has a noise ordinance in effect that requires that events on our property conclude by 10:30 p.m. In order to comply with this ordinance, we ask that all guests, vendors, and anyone assisting with tear-down exit the premises by 11:00 p.m.
