The Consultation
(Annual Gifts of $1,000 or More)

The Consultation elected Branch Tanner Archer, William H. Wharton, and Stephen F. Austin to serve as Commissioners of Texas in the United States. Their purpose was to raise funds, recruit troops, and gain support among Americans for the cause of Texas. The trio sailed from Galveston to New Orleans in late December 1835 and moved up the Mississippi River over the next several weeks, making speeches to crowds before moving east to Washington, D.C.

Members of the Consultation are the core patrons of The Bryan Museum. Membership offers an array of special privileges designed to provide its members deeper engagement with the Museum and its renowned collection. Their membership support provides the resources to preserve the Museum's superb collection, sustain and expand education and outreach programs, present diverse exhibitions, and maintain its home in the heart of Galveston.

Old 300
(Gifts of $25,000 or More)

The name "Old Three Hundred" refers to the settlers who received land grants for Stephen F. Austin's first colony in Mexico. The Bryan Museum will have its own Old 300, replicating the spirit and character of these men and women, and will be our most distinguished fellowship.

Membership in the Old 300 acknowledges The Bryan Museum's most generous benefactors—individuals and families. The Old 300 members' names will be emblazoned on a special donor wall built on the grounds of our elegant Conservatory.

Old 300 Benefits
  • All the benefits of the Austin level
  • A lifetime membership with admission for 4 to The Bryan Museum
  • Name on The Bryan Museum Old 300 Donor Wall
