The Bryan Museum is located on Galveston Island, approximately 40 miles south of Houston, at 1315 21st Street in Galveston, Texas.
Take I-45 South to Galveston. Once you cross the Causeway, I-45 turns into Broadway. Continue on Broadway until you reach 21st Street and turn right. We are six blocks down on the right.
If you are visiting the historic Strand District or arriving in downtown Galveston via cruise ship, take advantage of the Island Transit city bus service for convenient and economical transportation to The Bryan Museum.
Simply board the Island Transit #6 bus at the corner of 25th Street and Strand, which is one block south of the cruise ship terminal. From there, it's a short ride to The Bryan Museum at Avenue M and 21st Street, where you will get off. Your return trip will be the reverse.
Off-street parking is available in our Guest Parking lot behind the Museum. The lot provides spaces for both vehicles and tour buses. The Guest Parking lot is open Thursday through Monday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and is accessible from Avenue M on the north side of the building.
On-street parking is also available on neighborhood streets in the area around the Museum.
